Gorilla habituation is an interesting activity that is unique. Gorilla habituation is different from trekking, when habituating, you spend a lot more time with the gorillas, more of learning the way of life of the gorillas unlike visiting them when trekking. All of the gorilla groups can be trekked whereas there are only two gorilla families that tourists are allowed to have a habituation experience.

After your breakfast you will have to report to the headquarters by 07:00am to have a briefing usually done at the starting point of gorilla tracking. The briefing will be generally about the habituating experience you are about to have. You will be taken through the rules on habituating and given the safety precautions you will need, they'll tell you about the family you will be habituating and a lot more information. After your briefing, you will head straight into the forest to track the gentle giants that tend to roam about in search for food.
You will be led by a well trained professional ranger. The time taken in habituating entirely depends on how fast you find the gorilla family and then you can spend about four hours habituating the gorillas. After your marvellous adventure, you will head back to your accommodation and prepare for your departure for the following day.
After your breakfast, we shall set off for Kampala and have lunch en-route in Mbarara.
