The park was established in 1952 and named after Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth national park is known for its wildlife; among these animal species includes; hippopotamuses, elephants, leopards, tree climbing lions and chimpanzees.
This National park is now a habitat to 95 species of mammals and over 500 different bird species including the Flamingos, Yellow-Billed stork, White-Naped Raven, and many more. The area around Ishasha in the southern sector of the park is highly known for the tree climbing lions.
After your great early morning breakfast at the Hotel or place of residence, our driver will meet you at exactly 7:30 am and briefs you about your 3 days Queen Elizabeth national park memorable adventureous trip. After your delicious lunch, we continue with our journey through the tea plantations at Igara in Ishaka through the Kalinzu Forest Reserve and finally to a great view point of Queen Elizabeth national park and the Kyambura Gorge (escarpment.)
Expect an evening game drive where you will spot different wildlife and then return to the lodge.
We then return to the hotel at 11:00 am, relax for an indefinitely short period of time, quickly have lunch and then get to your evening 2 hours boat ride on the Kazinga Channel with lots of birds near the fishing village.
