Bwindi is divided into three gorilla trekking regions, that is; Buhoma, Ruhija and Nkuringo. Each region harbors a number of gorilla families.

However no more 8 trekkers can be assigned to one gorilla family.
After briefing you'll transfer to the trail head and head into the awe-inspiring thick forest to find your gorilla family. Depending on the location of the gorillas, you'll take from a few hours to several hours before you find the group. But you'll not miss them.
