2 Days Pian Upe and Sipi falls hike safari for a combination of Pian Upe wildlife reserve located in the Karamoja plains and Sipi falls in Kapchorwa offers our clients a great insight into the great and virgin adventure far East of the country with many options of hiking and enjoying wildlife viewings in the reserve. Pian upe offers wildlife viewing with common sightings like the cheatahs, buffaloes, leopards, zebras, elands, roan antelopes and many more.

The reserve also offers great cultural entertainment from the Karamajongs community with their routine of milking their cows, cultural dancing with in their homesteads.

With Sipi falls not far away with about 1:45mins of drive time and with spectacular views from Pian Upe, you will see and view from a distance the many water falls that make Sipi. We have coffee tours here and again the aerial view of the karamoja plains overlooking the Kidepo National Park.

Day 1 - Travel from Kampala to Pian Upe wildlife reserve

Depart from Kampala after an early breakfast at 6AM and drive east through Mabira forest, Jinja, Iganga, Mbale to Pian Upe arriving at 10AM for a game drive. Lunch at the UWA Bandas. Depart from the wildlife reserve at 4:30pm and head to the Sipi for an overnight.

During our game drive, expect to see, Buffaloes, roan antelopes, zebras, leopards and many more not missing the ostriches. Check out later at 5PM and continue to the Sipi falls.

Dinner and accommodation at Sipi River lodge

Day 2 - Hike the Sipi falls and transfer back to Kampala

Wake up to great views of Kapchorwa, have breakfast and head out for the community walk including a coffee tour. Visit and hike around the sipi water falls. You also have an option of abseiling. Lunch at the lodge, check out at 2pm and drive back to Kampala.
