8 Days Uganda wildlife and Rwanda Adventure tour.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

You will be received by your driver/guide at the Airport. Depending on your arrival time, if you arrive night time, we check into Imperial Resort Beach Hotel for a relaxation moment after the long flight.

After breakfast be ready for pick-up at 6.00am and drive to Western Uganda. Enroute expect great sighting of zebras, Uganda kobs and Crested Cranes in Lake Mburo National Park in Kiruhura District. You shall have lunch at Agip Motel in Mbarara town, then proceed and get to Queen Elizabeth National Park with great views of crater lakes amidst lush hills.

Check in at the Kasenyi Safari Camp/ Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Ride

Be up for breakfast at 6.30 and start the morning game drive at 7.00am. It is a good opportunity for great wildlife sightings. Drive along the Kasenyi game trails to spot lots of elephants, buffalos, warthogs, lions, antelopes, waterbucks and bushbucks. After more than three hours of great wildlife sightings return to the lodge to relax and have lunch.

After lunch you go for the two hour boat ride on the Kazinga channel. This is the highlight of a Queen Elizabeth tour as you get chance for the best wildlife sightings at a close range. Expect to view lots hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, buffalos, elephants, and lots other animals that come to channel to cool off the afternoon heat, drink water, eat fresh grass and some to take refuge from predators. The channel also has a concentration of bird species.

After the boat ride you retire back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Just like the previous day, we shall be up for breakfast at 6.30, check out and go for yet another exiting game drive. We get to increase our game count and view lots of other fascinating features in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

We check out of Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We check in at the Buhoma lodge or Silverback lodge to relax, have dinner and overnight.

Be up by 7.00am for breakfast, grab our lunch and drive to the park offices. You join other trekkers for gorilla trekking briefing by your guide/ranger. The gorilla trekking expedition then starts at about 8am and could last from a few minutes to several hours depending how fast you locate your assigned gorilla family.

After the gorilla experience we drive to Lake Bunyonyi, check it at the Bunyonyi Overland Resort or the Birdnest lodge with a waterfront view of the lake. This is the best to relax and unwind after the strenuous gorilla trek in Bwindi. You shall dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Travel to Rwanda

Be up at 6.30am for breakfast, check out of Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Rwanda via the chanika boarder and continue to Volcanoes National Park. Check in at Kinigi Guest House for dinner and overnight.

Be up for breakfast as early as 6.30am, grab your packed lunch and transfer to the park offices. You join up with other trekkers for briefing by your guide/ranger. In a group comprising of not more than eight trekkers, a guide, an armed ranger and porters you ascend into park to track the assigned gorilla group. The time taken to track these delightful giants varies from a few minutes to several hours. When you finally locate your gorilla group, a maximum of one hour is allowed to observe and photograph the gorillas.

Exhausted you retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Travel to Kigali - City Tour

After breakfast you check out and travel to Kigali. You do a tour of the city with a visit to several landmarks including the genocide memorials sites, markets and shopping malls. You are then dropped off to a preferred location or transferred to the airport for your flight.
